100% Beeswax Taper Candles
Details
One pair of hand-dipped 100% beeswax tapers. To go with the Candle Holder and Advent Altar.
Made in upstate New York by Alysia Mazzella using 100% locally sourced beeswax.
- 9 hour burn per candle, about 10" tall.
- Add a candle holder here.
- Cut wick to 1/4" before lighting. Fits standard size candlesticks, candelabras, and taper holders.
- The hand-dipped candle making method requires that a central wick is repeatedly submerged into molten beeswax. The width of the candle increases as new layers of wax cure over the previous. Variations will occur. Always burn candles within sight.
- Alysia also began Backland, a seasonal garden and educational apiary in upstate New York whose aim is to decentralize and diversify beekeeping by redistributing resources and peer support among Black beekeepers, Indigenous beekeepers, and beekeepers of color.

Through the season with this piece
Candles burn, as the wheel of time turns.
Autumnal candle gazing- watching the flame dance and getting lost in the shades of oranges, reds, and yellows that make the heart feel held.
A hibernal flame nearby while waking early to knit, read, write, or stretch in the still morning before the sun rises...
Slow, Sunday springtime breakfasts- with a candlestick and a bud vase holding a stem of a newly blooming familiar flower friend.
Summertime dinner parties, ending with the sweet scent of beeswax smoke from blown-out candles after a supper shared with loved ones- giving thanks for nourishing conversation, company, and food.
