Amelia at the wheel

Made with heart by Vermont potter Amelia Wrede Davis.

I have been a potter for about 16 years now. My equal love for the natural world, slow food, and utilitarian folk art have merged together into the work you see here. I hope to create vessels that inspire celebrating nourishment, everyday ritual, slowness, warmth, and thoughtfulness.

My process and philosophy

One by one.

Everyday tableware made one at a time by these two hands. For lively and festive suppers to quiet weekday breakfasts alone- and everything in between.

"I reach for my Forage Bowls more than any other dish in the kitchen. The simple, beautiful design makes them the perfect vessel for everyday use and special occasions."

Alysia A.

"They make the food I put in them feel extra special, and I’m so grateful for them. They remind me that I’m worth taking care of."

Maddy C.

“We use our mugs every day! Love the ritual of taking time to make and enjoy tea… Drinking out of these vessels makes that time intentional and we feel more present.”

Molly C.

"My favorite mug is my Grandmother Woodland Mug. It transformed my mornings."

Maeve D.

"The Forage Bowl makes the simplest food feel elegant and special!"

Helen E.

Dinnerware Sets & Wedding Registries

It brings me so much joy to create sets. I love to envision where these pieces will end up and the meals they will hold amidst conversation or stillness. All sets are made-to-order just for you.
