A collaboration with candlemaker Alysia Mazzella to celebrate warmth and light.
For me, lighting a candle is about inner warmth and outer calm. I am filled up while watching the flame flicker and dance. The room changes tone.
- Each set includes one candlestick (holder) + a pair of 10" hand dipped beeswax taper candles (9 hr burn time each).
- These candles are hand dipped in upstate NY and sourced with local beeswax and produced in a way that honors the sacred resource (as to not over-produce).
- The candlesticks each measure approximately 5.5" tall.
- Due to the one of a kind, handmade nature of the candlesticks and candles, to secure a good fit, you can put a flame up to the bottom of the candlestick while holding it over the holder to melt a little pool of wax- then stick the candle in and hold it upright for a few seconds until the wax has hardened and the candle is secure. You can also use a candlestick adhesive.
Each piece is handmade with heart. Because of this, there may be slight variations in size and glazing. It is part of the beauty of handmade pottery.

I am dedicated to practicing environmental stewardship. All packaging is proudly PLASTIC-FREE and fully recyclable.
I also suggest finding a maker or shop nearby who can re-use the materials and box/es or reusing them yourself or in your garden to sheet mulch!

I do not advocate for impulsive shopping that adds to one of the many facets of detrimental consumerism/environmental despair in our world. My deepest wish is for these vessels to be loved and used often, rather than sit untouched. Likewise, please remember that these vessels will not fulfill joy deeper than any non-transactional activity.
Through the season with this piece
A centerpiece vessel that will make any space feel like a cozy home. One is great for dinner for 1-4, for an altar, or to keep you company while knitting/reading/journaling/lounging. Pairs of two are wonderful for multi-room use, dinners for 4+, or to keep one and gift one to a friend- like the folky version of BFF necklaces :)
Autumnal candle gazing, watching the flame dance, getting lost on the shades of oranges and reds and yellows that make the heart feel held.
The Hibernal fiery glow of light nearby while waking up early to knit in the still morning before the sun rises, or curled up reading while the sky grows dark come end of day.
Vernal slow sunday breakfast for two- with a candlestick and a bud vase filled with a stem of a newly blooming familiar friend.
Estival dinner parties, finishing with the scent of beeswax smoke from blowing our candles after a supper shared with loved ones- full with nourishing conversation, good company, and food.
